The adjusting ring is one of the important parts of the cone crusher.
Structure of adjusting ring：
The adjusting ring is also a moving cone, with serrated threads on the external cone surface and seven notches on the internal vertebrae, and eight corresponding earrings on the fixed cone liner, which are fixed on the adjusting ring with “U”-shaped bolts passing through the notches on the earrings to fix the fixed cone liner on the adjusting ring.

Role of adjusting ring：
The adjusting ring and the fixed ring (support ring) are connected by serrated threads, so that the size of the crusher discharge port can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting ring to make the fixed cone rise or fall, and the adjusting ring is locked with the curved tooth plate to prevent the adjusting ring from backing off automatically. Because the adjusting ring is threaded, the discharge opening decreases when it is rotated to the right, and increases when it is rotated to the left. In order to protect the threads so that the adjusting ring can be easily rotated and to prevent dust from intruding, you can install a felt sealing ring at the bottom of the hole where the radial direction of the fixed ring is filled with grease.

Installation of adjusting ring：
When installing the adjusting ring, the locking cylinder should be mounted on the fixed ring first, the taper surface of the supporting ring is matched with the taper surface of the upper part of the frame, and there are 16 groups of springs along the circumferential direction of the fixed ring, and each group consists of 5 bolts to press the springs between the two trays, and rely on the tension of the springs to press the fixed ring on the frame, and check the beveled contact to see if it is even. Then the adjusting ring is screwed into the support ring and the lock nut is screwed onto the adjusting ring and aligned with the four pin holes on the support ring for positioning.
