MCS(L) Series Interstage Screen
MCS(L) Series Interstage Screen
MCS(L) series Interstage screen is used in adsorption circuits where the tank is arranged at the same level. When working, the pulp level inside the screen machine is lower than the pulp level at the outlet launder, and the spiral blades inside the screen machine rotate to produce enough indenter, so that the pulp obtains a certain speed and flows to the next tank. Since the tank is arranged at the same level level, compared with the MCS series Interstage screen, if the MCS(L) series Interstage screen is selected, the civil construction requirements are significantly reduced.

The structure of the MCS(L) series Interstage screen is similar to the MCS series, but its discharge box and agitator are significantly different.
The MCS(L) series Interstage screen discharge box is a structure closer to the volute type, which is more conducive to the flow of pulp inside it.
The agitator of the MCS(L) series Interstage screen also has the function of lifting the pulp upward from the screen drum, so it is called the lifting agitator. The lower part of the lifting agitator is fitted with blades, the function of which is the same as the MCS series. The upper part of the lifting agitator has two concentric cones, the inner cone is slightly higher than the outer cone, and a series of spiral blades are arranged between the two cones. When working, the rotating spiral blades produce a certain indenter and make the pulp get a certain speed upward, along the spiral blades, from the gap between the inner and outer cones into the discharge box, and then from the outlet to the next tank.
The MCS(L) series Interstage screen raises pulp height enough to overcome the pressure drop inside it, thus avoiding a series of tanks arranged in steps. The advantage of MCS(L) series Interstage screen is that the work platform at the top of the carbon adsorption circuit is horizontal, which is convenient for maintenance personnel to operate, and the basic investment of the tank is also less.
